FLASH FLOOD On January 7, 1998 a flash flood roared through Old Man's Cave washing out stairs and 13 bridges, all important links within the hiking trail system here at Hocking Hills State Park.
Project Timeline
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has initiated an aggressive improvement program to upgrade the trail and bridge system within the park.

Construct temporary bridges at Old Man's Cave and Lower Falls by Civilian Conservation Corps Completed July 1999

Construct new stairs for Gorge Overlook Trail at Cedar Falls by Civilian Conservation Corps Completed January 1999
