September 13-15, at Adena Mansion Gardens, 847 Adena Rd., Chillicothe. An intensive 2 day workshop for the museum heirloom gardener or the garden expert. The days will be filled with lectures about heirloom plants, seed sources, and plant usage as well as hands on tours and work in the Adena gardens and greenhouses. Everyone will create a meal using historic recipes over the fire and try their hand at making herbal products of the time period. Discounted hotels are available at nearby hotels and there will be additional activities going on within the Chillicothe community that can be attended for additional fees. Registration is required.
