The Perry County Home & Garden Show, sponsored by The Perry County Tribune and OSU Extension Perry County Master Gardeners is set for Friday, April 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Perry County Fairgrounds in New Lexington. The plant sale includes a wide variety of plants for your landscape or garden. Various vegetable plants including heirloom tomatoes, peppers, and herbs will be available. This years selections of landscaping plants include Japanese Maples, Pink Dogwood, Flowering Crab Apple, Large Shade trees, a limited selection of Fruit trees (apple and peach). Additional favorites to bring color and fragrance to your landscape include various David Austin roses, large selection and variety of Lilacs, Clematis, Hydrangea, Rhododendrons and others. Kids Corner will be available again this year for youth to put together an assortment of potted plants in an arrangement just in time for Mothers Day. Perry County Master Gardeners will be on hand to assist the youngsters to pot an arrangement consisting of three annuals for each child to personally design themselves.
