| Distance | About 4.5 miles round trip |
| Description |
To reach the Cemetery Ridge Trail, follow the eastern segment of the Creekside Meadows Trail to the Cemetery Ridge intersection. The Cemetery Ridge Trail then crosses Clear Creek Road and heads up the ridge in a series of switchbacks.
At the top of the hill the trail follows a gently rolling gas line access road west along the ridge, winding through a forest of oak, beech, black birch, tulip poplar, and maple trees. When you reach an open field the trail branches to the left, leaving the gas line road. As you pass through several ridgetop meadows, notice the difference between the plant communities here and in the creekside meadows. The Cemetery Ridge Trail ends when it meets the Fern Trail, still on top of the ridge. From here you can take either side of the Fern Trail loop down to the Fern Picnic Area, then take the Creekside Meadows Trail back to your starting point at the Creekside Meadows Picnic Area. |
